The main card bouts for UFC 333 have been officially confirmed. The highly anticipated clash between Alexander Volkanovski and Movsar Evloev will headline the evening, while Petr Yan and Merab Dvalishvili are set to settle their rivalry in a third encounter.
The UFC officially announced the fight card during the UFC 330 broadcast on Saturday. Volkanovski's featherweight title defense against Evloev has been set as the main event for the fight night, scheduled for October 24th at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi. Volkanovski (28-4) will aim for his second successful title defense during his second reign as champion, while Evloev finally gets his shot at the belt after an impressive 20-0 professional record.
Yan (20-5) delivered arguably his best performance of 2025 when he defeated Merab Dvalishvili at UFC 323 to reclaim the bantamweight title. This victory snapped Dvalishvili's 14-fight winning streak and avenged his loss from their first meeting in 2023. "No Mercy" is now on a four-fight winning streak after the toughest period of his career, which saw him suffer three consecutive losses, and is now looking to put an end to his rivalry with Dvalishvili.
Dvalishvili (21-5), for his part, returns after a well-deserved break. He successfully defended his belt three times in 2025 before Yan thwarted his attempt to become the first fighter in UFC history with four successful defenses within a single calendar year. Prior to that loss, his seven-year undefeated streak included victories over Yan, Jose Aldo, Sean O'Malley, Henry Cejudo, Umar Nurmagomedov, and Cory Sandhagen.
Other announced main card fights for the event include:
Lone'er Cavanaugh vs. Ramazan Temirov
Alexander Volkov vs. Rizvan Kuniev
Arnold Allen vs. Aaron Pico.
UFC 333 is slated to take place at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi on October 24th.
