The Celtics responded from their game 1 loss to beat down the Heat in game 2.

Nigeria's Gabe Vincent was in action for the Miami Heat against the Boston Celtics in game two of the 2022 Eastern Conference finals played in the early hours of Sunday, May 20.

The Boston Celtics recorded a 127-102 victory away against the Miami Heat at the FTX Arena in Florida.

The Miami Heat led by Jimmy Butler could not keep up with the Celtics determined to make amends for game 1.

Gabe Vincent is the only member of Nigeria's senior men's basketball team known as D'Tigers still in action during the NBA Playoffs.

While Vincent an the Miami Heat took the first game, Ime Udoka head coach of the Celtics and former D'Tigers star prepared his team for the challenge in the second game.

Udoka welcomed back veteran big Al-Horford from health and safety protocols and also point guard Marcus Smart from a sprain.

The Boston Celtics started of the game well as they took the first quarter 35-24 and the second quarter 35-21 to take a 70-45 lead to the halftime break.

The third quarter was a tie at 26-26 same as the fourth quarter at 31-31 as the Boston Celtics recorded a blow win against the Miami Heat.

The result means that the Celtics have tied the series and now have home court in the Conference finals.

The series now shifts to the TD Garden in Boston as the Celtics aim to now take a 3-1 lead with back-to-back home games.

Vincent who scored 19 points for the Heat in game 1 will hope to help his side bounce back against the Celtics in game 3 scheduled for the early hours of Sunday, May 22.
