Tyson Fury secured a dominant victory over Poland's Mariusz Wach, forcing him to retire in the seventh round of a gala event in Thailand. The 37-year-old Briton controlled the entire bout, earning a technical knockout and moving closer to the highly anticipated clash with Anthony Joshua.
Fury completely dictated the pace in the ring at the Max Muay Thai Stadium, showcasing a versatile boxing style by switching stances and landing a series of precise punches.
Following his win, the Briton turned his attention to a potential showdown with Anthony Joshua, who first needs to overcome Christian Prenga in Saudi Arabia.
“I've passed my test. Now let's see if Joshua passes his. The biggest test, however, is whether he has the courage to face me. I'm not convinced he will,” Fury commented after his victory.
The Briton explained that the fight with Wach was important not only for accumulating rounds but also for the opportunity to get back into competitive rhythm.
