Trump's Invitation Accepted: Mexican President to Attend Spain vs. Argentina Final
Sheinbaum's decision comes despite current strained relations between Mexico and the US on trade and security issues. Spanish King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia, along with Crown Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofia, will be present at the title match between Spain and Argentina (Sunday at 9:00 PM CEST) at the stadium in East Rutherford, near New York. Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez will also be in attendance.
Conversely, Argentine President Javier Milei will not travel to the final. According to Argentine media, he will stick to his superstitions and will not watch the match live at the stadium. Superstitious rituals, known as "cabalas" in Argentina, are a part of the football culture for many fans. They often watch matches in the same place or wearing the same clothes.
