Under Eddie Howe's leadership, Trippier played a pivotal role in Newcastle securing their first major trophy in 70 years, the Carabao Cup, last season. He also helped the club qualify for the Champions League twice.

"It's time to leave this amazing club after four and a half years. It's been more than just a home to me. This is emotional, and I will truly miss it. I want to extend a huge thank you to the fans for all their support, through both the good times and the bad," Trippier was quoted as saying by DPA.

The right-back joined Newcastle in January 2022 from Atlético Madrid, having previously played for Burnley and Tottenham. He has earned 54 caps for the English national team. His contract is set to expire at the end of the season, making him a free agent.
