Man City Sell Off Second England Player To Sunderland

England international Jack Rodwell appeared just 26 times in two years for the Etihad club

The Etihad Sky Blues, Manchester City have sold 23 year-old England international to Sunderland on a five year deal for an undiscosed fee thought to be in the region of £10m.

The player joined Man City in August 2012 from Everton but appeared only 26 times in his two years stay, though he struggled with a harmstring injury for the most of the period.

While at Everton, he was the youngest player to feature for the club in European competitions, made 85 league appearances and scoring four times

The 3 times capped England international becomes the second English player to leave the Etihad, after the departure of Gareth Barry to Everton.
