Transfer Market: Winger linked to Benfica heads to the Bundesliga

Feyenoord's 20-year-old Slovak international winger, Leo Sauer, is set to join German club Stuttgart in a deal worth €15 million, with potential add-ons that could see the transfer rise to €17 million.

Sauer, who registered four goals and two assists in 29 appearances last season, had been linked with a move to Benfica. However, at that time, negotiations with Stuttgart were already well underway.

The winger has yet to feature in Feyenoord's current pre-season under Giovanni van Bronckhorst, as he continues to recover from an injury sustained last season, which has kept him sidelined from team training.
