62 offenders get convicted in Jos

According to Mr Andrew Bala, the FRSC Public Education Officer, their offences included overloading, use of worn-out tyres, vehicle licence violation, and driver’s licence violation.

”Others were, use of cell phone while driving, seat belt violation and lack of caution signs,” he added.

Bala said the offenders were taken to a mobile court, where they were all tried.

The mobile court found 56 guilty and convicted, while seven were discharged and acquitted.

He also stressed the importance of the mobile court, adding that it had helped to reduce road traffic accidenrs and other issues.
