Toulouse has announced the signing of Danish international midfielder Thomas Jørgensen. The 20-year-old joins the Ligue 1 club from Viborg in a deal reportedly worth €10 million, including various performance-related bonuses.
Jørgensen's transfer sets a new club record for Toulouse, surpassing the €8 million paid for Wesley Saïd from Dijon in 2019. The promising talent recently earned a call-up to the Danish national team but has yet to make his senior debut. He enjoyed a stellar season with Viborg, contributing five goals and nine assists. The midfielder becomes the third Dane at Toulouse, joining head coach Jens Bertel Aske and team captain Rasmus Nicolaisen.
In other news, Toulouse also confirmed another new arrival, securing 20-year-old AC Milan defender David Odogu. The German footballer joins on a season-long loan and is expected to return to the Rossoneri next summer.
