Pep Guardiola promotes Nigerian defender to City’s first team

Adarabioyo joined the youth system at Manchester City at the age of five and made his U18 debut for the club at 14.
It is now understood that the 18-year-old has been promoted to City’s first team Guardiola who was impressed with the defender in pre-season.
According to Manchester Evening News, the central defender is among the five youngsters added to the first team roster.
Adarabioyo only made his first-team debut in an FA Cup match against Chelsea in February 2016.

He already has a competitive appearance this new season in the Champions League preliminary clash against Steaua Bucharest.
He will be the second Nigerian player to be promoted to City’s first team in recent years, following Kelechi Iheanacho’s rise from the club’s youth side.
