"This Isn't Obradović vs Itoudis"

Panathinaikos head coach Željko Obradović leads his squad on Friday against Hapoel Tel Aviv, managed by his close friend Dimitris Itoudis.

Panathinaikos and Hapoel square off in Athens, with Obradović emphasizing that his team must deliver on both ends of the floor.

"I don't view this as a clash of philosophies. It's too early for that kind of talk. We need to stay focused on every detail, both offensively and defensively, just as we do in every game. Hapoel possess a lot of talented players capable of creating off the dribble, both on the perimeter and around the rim."

The Greens have been dealing with injury setbacks since the start of the campaign, yet it hasn't slowed their momentum as they remain undefeated through five rounds.

"Rogkavopoulos is definitely ruled out, as are Kendrick Nunn and Kostas Sloukas. We are still uncertain about Bonga, and a final decision on his availability will be made tomorrow."

This matchup also sees Obradović engage in a tactical battle with his close friend, Dimitris Itoudis.

"This match is not Obradović versus Itoudis. It is Panathinaikos against Hapoel. That is simply how it is. Everyone knows my relationship with Dimitris, and I don't need to reiterate it. We are extremely close—he is like a brother to me."

Speculation has also emerged regarding the potential addition of another center to the roster.

"I cannot escape the rumors. That is simply the nature of the sport for media and fans. I am a serious coach, and I wasn't even familiar with those names. Whether Moustapha plays or not is a topic for discussion, and people will always share their opinions. I have no issue with that. My only focus is on what happens inside our locker room every day—what goes on outside does not concern me."

The clash in Athens tips off on Friday at 20:15.
