In "The Bells," Daenerys Targaryen burned King's Landing with her dragon. The Simpsons painted a very similar picture in a 2017 episode. This is the latest case of "Simpsons did it!"

It's hard to guess how, but somehow Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, and Maggie have done it again-predicted the doggone future.

In a clip that's begun recirculating from The Simpsons 2017 episode "The Serfsons," the entire family looks down from a hilltop at a fire-breathing dragon absolutely ravaging a village, buildings and civilians seemingly included. Sound familiar?

"Look, the dragon is burning our village!" Bart screams, pointing the family to attention as Thrones-esque music plays behind dragon roars.

"I love our town," Homer responds, as the entire Simpson clan looks down at the carnage.

The image of the family looking from a distance at the dragon's havoc beneath them looked remarkably similar to the shot from this week's Game of Thrones episode, "The Bells," which saw Daenerys Targaryen burn King's Landing to a crisp for much of the episode, as Cersei looked on from a very similar vantage point.

It's not the first time The Simpsons delved into George R. R. Martin 's universe. Back in 2012, in the Season 23 episode "Exit Through The Kwik-E-Mart," the show put together an elaborate opening sequence meant to pay homage to the unique opening sequences featured on each and every Game of Thrones episode.

An old South Park episode popularized the phrase " Simpsons did it ," which has held form to this day-the animated comedy classic is up to 654 episodes, and the amount of future events that it could be predicting just continues to grow. Who knows what could be next?
