The Only Thing That Cheered Nikola Jokić Up Yesterday Was a Question in Serbian! /VIDEO/
Following the loss to Minnesota, Nikola Jokić analyzed the reasons behind his team's subpar performance, highlighting the opponent's exceptional defense while also acknowledging his own missed shots.
"We created open shots, but we just couldn't convert them. They played aggressively; they're tall, long, and excellent defenders, forcing you into contested shots. This was particularly evident in the first quarter, and when you start a game like that, easy shots just don't fall. It was a very strong defensive quarter for them, and a very poor offensive one for us."
The Serbian center praised Minnesota's defense, emphasizing their physical attributes as a key advantage.
"The difference definitely lies in their length. I commend them for that; they're good defensively, and that's it."
A Question in Serbian
During the press conference, Jokić also received a question in Serbian, which he gladly answered.
When a journalist noted that the questions were mostly negative, Jokić gave a clear response regarding the team's intentions for the next game.
"The next game is extremely important, we'll see. Our focus is on that next game, and our focus is to get the break back and then it's 2-2," Jokić concluded before leaving the press conference.
The next clash with Minnesota is scheduled for Saturday night into Sunday at 2:30 AM, where the 'Wolves' will have the opportunity to take a 3-1 lead in the series.
