Petra Kvitova qualifies for WTA Finals in Singapore
Petra Kvitova has become the fourth player to secure her place in the WTA Finals in Singapore.
Kvitova will feature in the season-ending tournament, which starts on October 23, for a fifth consecutive year.
The world number five from the Czech Republic joins Simona Halep, Maria Sharapova and Garbine Muguruza in sealing her spot in the showpiece event - which she won on her debut appearance in 2011.
She said: "I am so excited to qualify for the WTA Finals Singapore for the fifth straight year.
"I have been through some tough moments this season so I'm extra proud of myself for qualifying again and making it back to Singapore.
"Playing as one of the top eight is a big goal for me each year so I can't wait to be back there, fighting hard and hopefully playing some great tennis in front of the Singaporean fans."
Agnieszka Radwanska, Angelique Kerber, Lucie Safarova, Flavia Pennetta, Timea Bacsinszky, Carla Suarez Navarro, Venus Williams, Karolina Pliskova and Belinda Bencic are in contention for the last four places.
