Switzerland vs. Argentina: A Historic Match Awaits, Nation Prepares Extensively

Swiss authorities have responded to their national football team's progression to the World Cup quarter-finals by extending bar opening hours in Zurich, Basel, and Bern. The Swiss have reached the last eight after 72 years and will face Argentina on Sunday at 3:00 AM CEST.

Switzerland last played in a World Cup quarter-final at the home tournament in 1954. In Kansas City, they will face the defending champions, and with the match kicking off in the late hours, extraordinary measures have been put in place.

Restaurants and bars in Chur's entertainment district will be screening the match on their premises. Establishments that typically close at 3:00 AM will host public viewings of the historic quarter-final. All other venues that usually close earlier can apply for special permits, as reported by DPA.
