The Super Falcons on Saturday, December 3 beat Cameroon to lift the 2016 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations.

Speaking at a lunch hosting of the Super Falcons on the following day, Dalung says he wants the squad to be rewarded with national honours.

The Sports Minister recalled the Super Eagles players and coaches who were given national honours after their victorious outing at the Africa Cup of Nations in 2013.

Solomon says he wants the Super Falcons to be rewarded likewise.

“Not every reward should be material, a national honour would be great for the players and the coaches of the Super Falcons,”” Dalung told Pulse Sports on Sunday, December 4.

“I have not spoken to the President, I don’t what his plans are, but I will talk to him and suggest my ideas to him.”

The Super Falcons are currently in Abuja awaiting plans of the Federal Government to give them a reception for their AWCON win.
