Sports Minister visits squad in Rwanda
Youth and Sports Minister Solomon Dalung visited the Super Eagles team B squad in Rwanda ahead of their first game at the African Nations Championship.
Super Eagles home based players will today, Monday, January 18 take on Niger in their first game of 2016 CHAN at 5pm Nigerian time.
Dalung alongside President of the Nigeria Football Federation Amaju Pinnick, Vice Presidents Seyi Akinwunmi, Shehu Dikko, and Chairman of the Technical and Development Committee Chris Green, were with the players on Sunday, January 17.
They had dinner with the players at their base at the Hills View Hotel before the Sports Minister Dalung delivered the message of President Muhammadu Buhari (GCFR) to the group.
“I want to assure you that Government and people of Nigeria are with you as you start this campaign for honours,” Dalung said.
“President Buhari has mandated me to tell me that you should confront all challenges with courage and confidence because he is with you in spirit.
“You have shown excellent patriotic spirit and we are proud of you. Go to battle with the mind to conquer.”
