“The Eagles got 10 million Naira and Tanzania were given $10,000 by the Akwa Ibom Government,” African Football reports.
This report has not been verified by Pulse Sports as all emails and calls to the Vice president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Seyi Akinwunmi have not been responded to.
The alleged reward comes following the reports that the Super Eagles players will not be paid bonuses for the game against Tanzania.
According to sources close to the team, the players were informed that they won’t be getting any bonuses for the games due to unavailability of funds to the Sports Ministry.
