NFF yet to pay match bonus for Swaziland win

The Super Eagles of Nigeria are yet to be paid their bonus for their 2-0 win over Swaziland on Tuesday, November 17.

Sunday Oliseh's men beat Swaziland to progress to the third round of the 2018 World Cup qualification.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) according to are yet to pay the players their match bonuses and allowances due to a cashless policy.

We reported last month that the NFF have demanded that players open domiciliary accounts with any local bank, where their match bonuses and allowances will be paid.

This move is as a result of the new financial policy in relation to foreign currencies adopted by the new government of President Muhammadu Buhari.

The players were however expecting to be paid the same way but the NFF have insisted that the bonuses will be sent to their accounts.

“We’ve not been paid our bonuses but we’ve been assured that they will credit our account,” an anonymous player said in the report.

The reports also stated that some players pleaded with the NFF that their bonues be paid in cash, a request that was turned down by the football body.
