Hundreds of fans were left frustrated after they were unable to see their darling Super Eagles players train on Tuesday, September 1.
The Eagles training ground at the Abuja National Stadium was only opened for first 15 minutes before coach Sunday Oliseh ordered it shut down to concentrate on trianing.
After the closure, fans expressed their disappointment while speaking to Africa Football.
“I came all the way from Sokoto (more than 670 kilometres from Abuja ) to watch my hero only be told I cannot do so,” a certain Baba Umar revealed.
Others also revealed that this is not the first time this particular incident is happening adding that past Super Eagles coaches have also done similar thing.
“This is not what happened during the time of the past coaches like and ,” a certain Sirajo Azeez said.
“We want to enjoy a close relationship with our stars as we don’t always have the chance to do so as they are playing abroad.”
The Super Eagles will be facing Tanzania away this weekend in the matchday 2 of the 2017 African Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Vincent Enyeama and midfielder Joel Obi have withdrawn from the Super Eagles because of family reasons and injury respectively.
