The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon will face the Super Eagles of Nigeria in a double header in Group B of 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Ahead of the home and away games, Vandenbroeck has revealed that they want to be unbeaten against the Super Eagles.

“We will need at least four points against Nigeria,” coach Vandenbroeck said in a radio interview on Monday, February 13.

“They will be two difficult games. But August is still six months away, it’s a long way to go.

“I watched Nigeria against Algeria. They are a good team, have talented players and play as a group.

“I believe they were disappointed not to be at the AFCON.”

Fresh of their 2017 Africa Cup of Nations title win, the Indomitable Lions are in spirit and full of confidence ahead of their crucial World Cup qualifiers against Nigeria in August and September.

“Mentally, our confidence has been boosted as we are now African champions,”  Vandenbroeck added.

Cameroon are second in Group of the World Cup qualifiers with two points after drawing their first two games.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria are top with six points from maximum wins while Zambia and Algeria have one point each.
