In a video posted on Oliseh’s Youtube channel over the weekend, Oliseh blasted some section of the Nigerian media and his former colleagues who have been critical of him.
The Super Eagles coach also claimed that he was begged to take the Super Eagles job.
NFF president, Pinnick confirmed that he received an apology letter from Oliseh but said the rant was ‘needless and unnecessary’.
“We actually received an apology letter from Sunday Oliseh for his outburst which to us was needless and unnecessary,” Pinnick said in a Youtube video interview with NFF.
“It’s not just receiving an apology letter, a lot of people are hurt which they feel is a major distraction considering the fact that we have a major double header against Egypt, one of the best team in Africa,”
Pinnick further revealed that a lot of parties who were targeted in the rant are hurt and need to be appealed to.
“We need to make a repair, we need to have discussion with direct stakeholders affected by his ranting,” NFF President further said.
“For example, SWAN. , they have been a major platform for building football in Nigeria.
“FIFA rate SWAN and sports media are very highly treated worldwide, that shows how premium and important that sector of football stakeholding is.”
Pinnick said that the NFF Technical Committee, his back room staff, sponsors and the Sports Ministry need to be appealed to.
The NFF President urged for calm and focus as the Super Eagles prepare to face Egypt in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations double header qualifications next month.
