Richardson said this in a statement issued by the Commission’s Research and Public Affairs Officer, Mr Okokon Odiongenyi, and made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos. He said in the statement that the number would increase by the end of the year.

"The High Commissioner will speak on Australia’s place in the world and its bilateral engagement with Nigeria. He will also invite the students to attend the Australia Future Unlimited West Africa Education Exhibition scheduled to hold in Lagos in September.

"The Exhibition is expected to provide Nigerian students with an opportunity to engage with Australian Universities and learn more about opportunities for pursuing postgraduate study in Australia,’’ it said. The statement enjoined young Nigerians to avail themselves of the existing educational opportunities in Australia.
