This information was reported by Fabrizio Romano, a journalist specializing in the transfer market, confirming earlier indications from A BOLA yesterday that a preliminary understanding on the deal's value had been reached. Only payment terms and other details, such as solidarity mechanism payments, remained to be settled.

Recent discussions between the clubs, facilitated by Hjulmand's representatives in Madrid, allowed for the finalization of details for a transfer worth €40 million upfront, plus an additional €5 million in potential bonuses. The 27-year-old Dane will sign with the Colchoneros until 2031.

Signed from Lecce, Italy, three years ago for €19.5 million, Hjulmand departs Alvalade having made 141 appearances, scoring 10 goals, providing 12 assists, and winning three titles: two league championships and one Portuguese Cup.
