Sporting captain Morten Hjulmand is still coming to terms with their UEFA Champions League exit, following a 1-0 aggregate defeat to Arsenal in the quarter-finals. He took to social media to express his frustration.
“A tough loss. A great Champions League campaign for Sporting,” the Danish international posted in an Instagram story featuring a photo with Gyokeres.
It's worth noting that immediately after the match, the number 42 expressed his disappointment with the outcome of the tie: “The impact of the first leg, which we lost, made it harder to come to the Emirates and win. Especially since we don't lose often at home. We knew it would be tough. It was a low-intensity game, no rhythm, zero goals… I'd say it was boring.”
