Sports Minister celebrates with Dream Team VI after win over Sweden
It appears the fallout between the Sports Ministry led by the Minster and Nigeria U-23 side have ended as
Nigeria’s U-23 side on Sunday, August 7 beat Sweden by a lone goalto secure qualification to the quarter-final of the football event of Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
Dalung was in the stands to support the boys and also partook in the post-match celebrations on the pitch and later inside the dressing room.

From photos and videos shared by the Media Officer of the Dream Team VI, Timi Ebikagboro, Dalung can be seen during the game cheering and supporting the team.
In a video later posted, the Nigerian Sports Minister is seen hugging coach Samson Siasia and congratulating each of the players on the job well done.
This is a far cry from the tension that existed between the Dream Team VI and the Sports ministry.
The players were stuck in Atlanta, United States where they were camped ahead of the Olympics.
With just few hours before their first game against Japan, the team’s flight out of Atlanta was delayed because of the failed fund transfer system of the Sports Ministry.
Two airplanes were later provided by the Sports Ministry which were rejected by the team because they were too small.
