New update lets you call mobile phones from the web
Skype has updated its web version with a new feature that allows users use the web platform to make calls to landlines and mobile phones.
Previously, Skype users could only call other Skype web users. With the new feature however, users need not worry about using the app to make international calls.
To make calls to landlines though, you will need to buy some Skype credits or a subscription.
The new web feature also allows you to invite others to join in a call, whether they have an account or not.
This also makes it convenient for people who are using computers that aren't theirs but can't install apps and stuff like that.
Another feature on the update is people can watch YouTube videos in the conversation window without leaving the website.
You also have the option to share conversations with other people, in addition to a new notification feature that lets you see incoming calls and messages.
