'X Factor' judge fires security guard for taking a dump during 2am robbery at his home
'X Factor' judge, talent mentor and producer, Simon Cowell, has been reported to have gotten rid of the security guard who had been busy using the toilet when his home was burgled at 2am on that fateful day.
A source close to the actor told the Sun:
"Simon said heads would roll because of the blunder. The security guard’s firm have now told him it would not be appropriate for him to continue protecting Cowell and his family."
In a weird twist, another security guard assigned to a home on the same street at the star's, was praised and applauded as a hero for wrestling back £500,000 worth of Simon's jewelries during the robbery.
M'Bathonha Mendes, who isn't employed by Simon but works on the same street, reportedly leapt into action after finding the music mogul’s passport on the pavement.
The 34-yr-old Mendes reportedly drove after the burglar, snatching back Cowell's possessions from his knapsack.
"The adrenaline just kicked in. He was trying to get something out of the bag and I ran up to him, put my hand on his shoulder and said, ‘wait a second’.He jumped and then dropped the bag and ran. Fear is my friend."
