Men claiming to be from the Nigerian police have twice attempted to arrest Dikko following an order from Justice I. I. Kunda of the Plateau State High Court in Jos.

On Sunday, October 9 two men claiming to be from Police officers from the Jos Police Command attempted to arrest Dikko at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International airport upon arrival from .

According to eyewitness accounts, the men who were on mufti claimed that the LMC boss was wanted by the Abuja Police Commissioner.

They, however, failed to provide any arrest warrants which lead journalists and officials of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to wade in to prevent the arrest.

According to ace journalist Colin Udoh, one of the men pointed his gun at Kelvin Omuojine, a journalist before shooting into the air.

This is the third time that an arrest attempt has been made on Dikko following the order by I.I Kunda.

The order came over his refusal to reinstate after they were expelled for breach of NPFL Framework & Rules as they failed to honour three cumulative fixtures without acceptable reason.
