The 42 year-old 7ft 1 four times NBA Champion will be serving as a reserve officer for the Doral Police Department in South Florida.

The Police Department however, are having issues providing the big, bulky centre with uniform.

O’Neal will not be paid for the position, he will operate from his homes in Fort Lauderdale and Orlando; this sheer act of service should inspire the community to want to do the same, the Police chief said.

‘’I want them to be be able to say: 'If Mr. O'Neal can do it, I can do it.’’
