Lionel Messi continues to garner accolades ahead of the 2026 World Cup final. This time, it was Shakira who expressed her admiration for the Argentina captain, highlighting not only his exceptional form on the pitch but also the significant role Antonela Roccuzzo plays in his journey.
The Colombian singer shared a photo of Messi on social media, accompanied by a reflection on the Argentine's longevity and legacy.
“What Lionel Messi is doing is extraordinary. He embodies the values of a deeply committed and disciplined man, defying time and adversity. He shows that a person is not defined by age or by what others say,” she wrote.
Shakira also took the opportunity to praise Antonela Roccuzzo, suggesting that the star's partner plays a crucial role in his success. “I know that having a woman like Antonela Roccuzzo by his side gives him the strength and inspiration to demonstrate this,” she added.
The message comes as Messi, at 39, prepares for yet another World Cup final, aiming to secure his second world title and further solidify an already historic career.
