Sevilla were left deeply aggrieved by the officiating following their 4-1 defeat away to Real Madrid in round nine of La Liga.
Speaking after the match, manager Luis Garcia insisted that Real Madrid midfielder Arda Guler, who opened the scoring, should have been sent off as early as the 22nd minute for an elbow incident.
The Andalusian outfit also expressed their fury over the build-up to the hosts' second goal, scored by Kylian Mbappe in the 37th minute, claiming an unpenalized foul by Ibrahima Konate on Robi Ure seconds before the strike.
Reacting to the clip of the goal posted on X by Movistar Plus, Sevilla commented: "Could you rewind 18 seconds? We'd like to see the full passage of play." Once the broadcaster finally uploaded the clip showing the contentious incident, the club sarcastically added: "Well, look at that... Over three hours later! You were quicker on X than on the live broadcast 🧐 🙈🤐."
Sevilla also took issue with Movistar Plus's caption praising Mbappe's strike, which read: "Put this in the Louvre. A goal of pure poetry by Mbappe against Sevilla." The club fired back: "The Prado is right on your doorstep, yet you think of the museum famous for stolen art..."
