'There is no depth to most artistes,' singer says

"True art requires depth, there is no depth to most artists, they are just packaged and sold as a product to mainstream media," says the son of the late Afrobeat legend Fela Kuti Seun Kuti.

The Afrobeat singer sits with Revolt TV to talk Afrobeat, true defintion of art, touring with Lauryn Hill and more.

Kuti talks about the type of songs he makes, saying virtually, all his songs are socially and politically charged.

In his opinion, in terms of arrangement, composition and message, the singer believes Afrobeat is pop music but Africans are simply scared of competing with American pop musicians.

He also talks about the Black Lives Matter Movement, how he admires Lauryn Hill, why white folks can't stand her and more daring statements.
