Macura defeated Latvia's Jelisaveta Avruskina in the final, completing an undefeated and dominant run to the gold medal. One of Serbia's brightest young karate talents gave her opponents no breathing room on her way to an emphatic world title.
Representing Karate Club Pobednik, Nina opened her campaign with a 2-0 victory over Cyprus' Valeria Efthymiou before cruising past Spain's Laura Torenteras Novillo with a commanding 8-0 win.
She replicated that emphatic 8-0 scoreline in the next round against Turkey's Sara Kaya, before overcoming Germany's Kirana Podlaszewska 3-0.
In the semi-finals, Nina was in scintillating form, overpowering Greece's Anastasia-Eirini Pergalia with a resounding 10-1 triumph to book her place in the final.
