According to news agency Bernama, micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) generated more than 345 million Malaysian ringgit ($84.4 million) in economic impact from the race weekend. International visitors played a pivotal role in driving this financial windfall, accounting for nearly half of the 261,000 spectators in attendance.

This figure does not include ticket sales revenue, which went directly to Bahrain as the host nation covering the event's operational costs.

Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Steven Sim Chee Keong highlighted the exceptional benefits the event delivered to small and medium-sized businesses. The hospitality, food and beverage, retail, transport, entertainment, and tourism services sectors saw the most significant gains.

Estimates indicate that Formula 1 attendees spent roughly 2.17 times more than visitors at other events of comparable size. The higher spending was largely driven by international tourists, who stayed longer and spent substantially on accommodation, dining, shopping, and leisure activities.
