Senate President begs Supreme Court to stop tribunal from trying him

Saraki is set to appear before the CCT tomorrow, November 5, 2015, for the continued hearing of the case.

Senate President, Bukola Saraki has urged the Supreme Court to stop his ongoing trial at the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT).

The Senate President lodged his complaint at the apex court, through his lawyers, on Tuesday, November 3.

Saraki is also urging the court to set aside the judgment of the Court of Appeal which ruled in favour of the CCT on October 30.

The Senate President is being tried on allegations of asset declaration fraud brought against him by the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB).
