Samuel Chukwueze burst into the limelight at the 2015 U17 World Cup, where he starred on the wings and caught the attention of the world, with Spanish side, Villarreal beating competition for his signature.

Chukwueze came into the limelight after the 2015 U17 World Cup. Having been at Diamond Football Academy for about five years, Chukwueze signed for Villarreal in 2017, joining their B team before being promoted to the first team.

He made his league debut against Levante on 5 November 2018. Perhaps his biggest moment at Villarreal so far was his goal against Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena, where his goal sealed Villarreal's first appearance in a Champions League semifinal, although they would lose out to Liverpool eventually.
