Korean tech giant is planning to launch an Olympic-themed Galaxy S7 smartphone
Oftentimes, an OEM launches various special editions of a flagship device aimed at rejuvenating the interest of the end user in that product.
Korean tech giant, Samsung, is working on another Olympic Edition of its flagship Galaxy S7 device for this year's Olympic Games in Brazil.
Earlier this year, Samsung launched a Batman-themed Editionof the S7 Edge. Back in 2015, it also launched a limited edition Iron Man-themed smartphone for its Galaxy S6 smartphone - its flagship at the time.
According to media reports, the Rio device is currently under development and it will contain apps to provide users with VR content at the Olympics.
Popular leak-man @Evleaks tweeted a render of the device showing the Olympic symbol stamped on the rear of the phone and appearing as a splash screen message on the phone's screen.
Also, the phone's buttons, camera, and flash have also been outlined in the Olympic colors but that all the information available for now.
