Wales achieve rugby rankings high
Wales have climed to their highest ever position of second in the latest World Rugby rankings following their famous Rugby World Cup victory over England.
In a Pool A match billed as the biggest of the tournament so far it was Wales that triumphed 28-25 over their old enemy at Twickenham having twice trailed by 10 points.
Dan Biggar led the way by kicking 23 points - the most by a Wales player in a World Cup game - and the victory sees them climb two places, behind only world champions New Zealand.
England's loss sees them slip from third to sixth, with South Africa up to fifth having rebounded from the biggest upset in World Cup history in their loss to Japan by routing Samoa 46-6.
Scotland are also back in the world's top 10, victories over Japan and United States sees them up to ninth.
