Victor Ubogu tips South Africa for Rugby World Cup
Former England prop Victor Ubogu has tipped South Africa to win the Rugby World Cup ahead of their quarter-final against Wales on Saturday.
The Springboks recovered from a sensational defeat to Japan in their opening game of the tournament by winning three in a row to secure top spot in Pool B.
Heyneke Meyer's resurgent side will take on injury-hit Wales at Twickenham with a semi-final against either New Zealand or France to follow for whoever comes out on top.
Ubogu expected South Africa to shine before the tournament and is sticking with his prediction given the momentum they have following such a dreadful start.
He told Omnisport: "Right from the start I predicted a South Africa v England final, obviously that's gone by the wayside.
"South Africa are still there, though, and they are growing and growing with every game.
"They seem to have got their selections and playing style right and they are they are looking very strong.
"I think they have a very good chance of being the winners. Obviously you can never rule out New Zealand, but I have just got this sneaking feeling that they will do it."
Ireland face Argentina and Australia take on Scotland in Sunday's quarter-finals.
