Influential fly-half Sexton was a doubt for the last-eight clash with the Pumas at the Millennium Stadium after coming off in the first half of the Pool D decider against France last weekend with a groin injury.

But Sexton has been passed fit to start in Cardiff, so Ian Madigan has to settle for a place on the bench once again after impressing as a replacement against Les Bleus.

Iain Henderson comes in at lock in place of captain Paul O'Connell, whose international career came to an end when he limped off with a hamstring injury in the victory over France.

Chris Henry gets his chance due to Sean O'Brien's suspension, while Jordi Murphy also starts after Peter O'Mahony was injured in a brutal encounter with Philippe Saint-Andre's men.
