Belgium's national team coach, Rudi Garcia, reacted with irony to FIFA's decision to overturn the suspension of American forward Folarin Balogun. This ruling allows the player to participate in the upcoming World Cup Round of 16 clash between the two teams.

"I didn't realize we were playing on April 1st, not July 6th," Garcia sarcastically remarked, as quoted by journalist Ben Jacobs.

The 24-year-old Balogun received a direct red card in the 64th minute of the Round of 16 match, where the USA defeated Bosnia and Herzegovina 2-0. He was initially expected to miss his team's next fixture.

However, on July 5th, FIFA annulled the sanction, giving the striker the green light to play against Belgium. The match is scheduled for the night of July 6th to 7th, kicking off at 3:00 AM.
