Former Chelsea manager Liam Rossinier has officially been appointed as the new head coach of Paris FC. The 41-year-old Englishman gained recognition for his work at Strasbourg, which led to his move to Stamford Bridge. However, his tenure with Chelsea lasted only 107 days, overseeing just 23 matches. The Blues sacked him in April, despite having signed a six-season contract at the beginning of the year. Media reports from England at the time indicated that Chelsea paid Rossinier a compensation package of £4 million.

He replaces Antoine Kombouaré, who also had a brief stint after being appointed on February 22nd of this year.

Rossinier's contract with Paris FC runs until June 2028.

“Liam Rossinier embodies all the qualities we were looking for. He is a modern coach, demanding, and has proven his ability to develop both individual players and the collective team. Beyond his tactical prowess, we were particularly impressed by his leadership qualities and his capacity to unite a team around a clear vision. I am convinced that he possesses all the attributes to succeed at Paris FC, and I wish him great success in this new chapter of his career,” stated the club's sporting director, Marco Neppe.

Antoine Arnault, representing the owning Arnault family, added: “My family and I are delighted to welcome Liam to our club and to see him return to the French championship. I have always been captivated by his football philosophy and what he has built with his teams, often comprised of young players. Working closely with our sporting director Marco Neppe, he will be able to shape our men's team, which will resume training in a few days. Many players have expressed their enthusiasm, and we share it, because this perfectly illustrates the project we want to create to establish FC Paris permanently in Ligue 1 and to progress each year, both in our style of play and in our league standing.”
