Manchester United striker, Robin van Persie organised a youth tournament which his own son partook in.

Van Persie's son represented Manchester City U-9 at the Robin van Persie International Tournament.

Under nine teams from round the world took part in the tournament  which Van Persie started to raise money for Sophia Children's Hospital in Rotterdam, and part of the sponsorship money will go directly to the charity.

Former Manchester United midfielder, Darren Fletcher was also in attendance as his son was playing for Manchester City Under 9s.

There were 14 teams involved, including Chelsea, Tottenham and Manchester City, Feyenoord, Brugge, Genk and South Africa All Stars.

Van Persie signed autographs and posed for photos with the excited children.

Thousands of kids received massive posters, all 250 players from Europe's and South Africa's best teams going home with a signed Van Persie football.
