Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand seems to be planning a comeback after he shared a photo of himself in intense training.
The defender who made his senior debut at West Ham took to his Instagram to share a photo of himself in training which might spark reports that the former Leeds defender is trying to make a comeback.
Ferdinand however is not planing a comeback but rather keeping himself fit.
The former England international is now a sports pundit for BT Sports and spends much of his time with his children after losing his wife, .
Ferdinand made his first public appearance to his former home Old Trafford on the opening day of the current English Premier League season.
"Reminiscing.. Thanks for the reception! Good to be back," he wrote alongside a photo of himself and Ryan Giiggs inside Old Trafford.
He made his move to United in July 2002 and won six Premier League titles in his trophy laden time at the club.
The centre back struck up a formidable partnership with Nemanja Vidic under Sir Alex Ferguson during his peak years at Old Trafford which saw them win the League and UEFA Champions League double in 2008.
For England, he made 81 appearances before retiring from the in May 2013.
