After finishing top of Group B beating Japan and Sweden before losing to Colombia, the Nigeria's U-23 team qualified for the Semi-Finals after ending Denmark's ambition in a 2-0 victory.
With high hopes of winning the match, midfielder and captain of the Dream Team, Mikel Obi opened the score line that etched the Denmark side out of the 2016 Rio Olympics.
It should be noted that Mikel had earlier boasted in a tweet several hours to the match saying “We believe. The last African team left at #Rio2016 – now we face the Danish Dynamite @DBUfodbold in the 1/4 finals.”
