Is Money A Problem For The Super Eagles's At The World Cup?

A lot of speculations have been trailing the reason for the disappointing game between Nigeria and Iran in their opening match which ended in a disappointing draw.

Rumours are flying thick that the Super Eagles did not perform well in their first match because the Nigeria Football Federation still owe the team a large sum of money for qualifying for the World Cup and this money is usually for an “appearance fee”.

According to sources, FIFA paid every football federation that participated in the World Cup including NFF, the sum of 8 million dollars but the team has not received their share of this money from the NFF.
