Decked in black suits, black ties and white shirts, Nigeria's Super Eagles departed from Florida, USA and arrived late on Tuesday evening in São Paulo, Brazil for the 2014 FIFA World Cup tournament.
The team was received by Nigerian embassy officials in Brazil led by Salau Bello upon their arrival, and then headed to Hotel Campinas, which is on the outskirts of Sao Paolo. This is where Nigeria's Super Eagles will set up camp before their first game against Iran.
Coach Stephen Keshi of the Super Eagles displayed enthusiasm when asked about his thoughts concerning his team’s performance. He stated that he was quote: “optimistic that the team will be ready for the finals.”
Coach Stephen Keshi still maintains his confidence, even though one of his key players Kenneth Omeruo is once again on the sidelines due to an injury sustained during training.
All eyes in Nigeria will be on the Super Eagles on Monday, June 16th in World Cup against Iran in Curitiba at 4:00pm Nigeria time.
