Based on an article on a troublesome son who attacks his father with a machete, readers say they would abandon the son and relocate with their family.
The suspect, Toluwani Oluwarotimi, allegedly attacked his father, Elijah with a machete and inflicted injuries on his head and other parts of his body before their neighbours intervened, rescuing him.
PM News reports that the incident happened at their house located at 4, Jesus is the Head Street, Ijegun, on the outskirts of Lagos.
The matter was reported to the police at Isheri Oshun Division and it is reported that while the police attempted to arrest Toluwani, he resisted, launching an attack on the police officers themselves.
He was quickly overpowered and subsequently taken to the police station.
The youth's father, Elijah says that Toluwani has been a thorn in the flesh of the family and they have done their best to change him to no avail.
According to Elijah, Toluwani started smoking hard drugs at a tender age and whenever he was high, he would descend either on him or his wife, Monica and any of their three children with weapons with the aim to kill.
We asked Pulse readers via poll what they would do with a son like Toluwani in their family.
Results from the poll show that 74.1% of the readers would abandon the son and relocate with the rest of their family, while 3.7% would disown him.
