Pulse readers vote death sentence for child rapists

A vast majority of Pulse Nigeria Poll voters are of the opinion that a death sentence will reduce child rape.

With the ever increasing cases of child rape in Nigeria, many have called for more stringent punishment to be meted out to those caught to serve as a deterrent to others.

Rape in itself is a very bad crime as it not impact negatively on the woman and some of them could be scarred for life but when one considers some animals who rape children, some as young as one year old, it calls for an action that should the sick men out for life.

On Pulse Nigeria Poll of April 24, 2015, this poser was up for debate:

What punishment would you recommend for child rapists?

A massive majority of 55.56 percent of the votes recommended a death sentence to be passed on such men while 33.33 percent voted for castration. A mere 11.11 percent recommended life imprisonment.
